Preparation
- Add 1 cup of coarsely ground coffee to your jar.
- Pour in 4 cups of cold or room temperature water over the coffee grounds and stir until all the grounds are wet.
- Cover the jar and let it steep for 12 to 16 hours at room temperature, or overnight in the fridge.
Straining
- Strain the mixture through a strainer into a bowl or pitcher to catch the larger grounds.
- Filter the liquid again through a paper filter or cloth to remove finer particles.
Serving
- Store the cold brew in the fridge. When serving, you can dilute the concentrate with water or milk to taste.
- For a delicious serving, mix equal parts of cold brew concentrate and milk over ice, adding a splash of vanilla if desired.
Notes
For best results, use coarsely ground coffee and fresh beans. Adjust steeping time based on taste preference, and try flavor additions like vanilla, cinnamon, or sweeteners as desired.
