  • 1 to 2 tablespoons peanut butter or almond butter Optional, but adds richness.
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder or a splash of vanilla Optional flavoring.
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup Sweeten to taste.
  • 1/2 cup ice Use less if banana is very frozen.
  • 1 pinch salt Enhances flavor.

Preparation
  1. Brew coffee ahead of time, then chill it or use coffee ice cubes if you forget.
  2. Add coffee and milk to the blender first for easier mixing.
  3. Add frozen banana, nut butter, and any optional extras like cocoa or vanilla.
  4. Add ice last, then blend until smooth. If blender struggles, add a splash more milk.
  5. Taste and adjust; add more cocoa for a mocha flavor or more sweetener if needed.

Notes

Use frozen bananas for a milkshake-like texture and chill your coffee to avoid a watery smoothie. Don't overdo the ice; let frozen fruit do the thickening.
