- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
 - In a large bowl, combine the shredded coconut and flour.
 - Add the sweetened condensed milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the bowl.
 - Mix until well combined; the mixture will be thick and sticky.
 - Spread the mixture into a lined 8x8 inch baking pan, smoothing it out with a spatula or your hands.
 - Bake for about 25-30 minutes, until the top is lightly golden brown.
 - Let cool before slicing into bars.
 
Notes
These bars stay soft longer than most desserts; store them tightly wrapped. They can be frozen for later enjoyment.
