Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin pan with cupcake liners.
- In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugars until fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- Add the dry ingredients and milk alternately to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Fill cupcake liners about two-thirds full with the batter.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 16 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool the cupcakes completely before frosting, or the frosting will melt.

Tip: For a fun twist, you can try adding a teaspoon of brown sugar cinnamon butter in the center of the cupcakes or swirl some cinnamon sugar into the batter before baking.
