Ingredients

For the pizza
  • 1-2 pounds Pizza dough Store-bought or homemade.
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese Shredded or small cubes for filling.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese Freshly grated for topping.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For brushing and crisping.
  • 1 clove Garlic Minced.
  • 1/4 cup Parsley Chopped, for flavor and garnish.
  • 1 jar Marinara sauce Warmed for dipping.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Divide the pizza dough into small balls, about the size of a golf ball.
Assemble the Tree
  1. Start with a single dough ball at the top, then form rows below it with 2, 3, and so on, leaving small gaps between balls.
  2. In some of the dough balls, tuck in cubes or shreds of mozzarella for melty centers.
  3. Brush the tree lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  4. Mix minced garlic, chopped parsley, and additional olive oil, and brush this mixture over the top of the tree.
  5. Finish with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 22 minutes, checking for doneness around 15 minutes.
  2. Once out of the oven, brush with more olive oil and melted butter for a softer finish.
  3. Let it sit for 5 minutes before transferring the tree to a serving board.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping and enjoy the festive pull-apart fun!
