Ingredients
  

Brownie Base
  • 1 box Brownie mix Use your favorite homemade recipe or a boxed mix.
Toppings
  • 8 oz Fresh strawberries Pick bright red, firm berries.
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips Baking chocolate melts smoother.
  • 1 tsp Coconut oil Optional, helps chocolate spread smoothly.
  • a pinch Salt Optional, enhances chocolate flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven and line an 8x8 or 9x9 pan with parchment paper.
  2. Bake the brownies according to package or recipe instructions. Let them cool completely.
Strawberry Preparation
  1. Wash the strawberries and dry them thoroughly with paper towels.
  2. Let the strawberries sit on the counter for a few minutes to ensure they are completely dry.
Assembling
  1. Place the strawberries on top of the cooled brownies, either halved or sliced into rounds.
  2. Melt the chocolate in the microwave in short bursts, stirring until smooth. Stir in the oil.
  3. Pour the melted chocolate over the strawberries and spread gently with a spoon.
  4. Chill in the fridge for 20 to 40 minutes until chocolate is firm.
  5. Lift out, slice with a hot knife, and enjoy!

Notes

These brownies are best enjoyed fresh, ideally within 1 to 2 days. Store in the fridge in a covered container. For best results, do not freeze once topped with strawberries.
