  • 1/2 cup butter, melted for binding the crust
For the Filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened let sit at room temperature for easy mixing
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz Cool Whip, thawed fold gently for a fluffy texture
For the Topping
  • 1 can cherry pie filling canned for convenience and consistency

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) if baking the crust.

  5. Gently fold in the Cool Whip until just combined, keeping it fluffy.
Assembly
  1. Spread the cream cheese filling evenly over the cooled crust.
  2. Spoon the cherry pie filling over the cream cheese layer, spreading it evenly.
Chilling
  1. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
Serving
  1. Slice into squares and serve chilled. Enjoy!

Notes
