Ingredients

Punch Base
  • 2 bottles Champagne (Brut recommended) Use brut for a balanced sweetness.
  • 3-4 cups Chilled ginger ale or lemon-lime soda Adds fizz to stretch the punch.
  • 2 cups Orange juice Adds body and sunshine flavor.
  • 2 cups Pineapple juice Provides a tropical note.
  • 1-2 cups Fresh fruit (orange slices, lemon slices, berries) Frozen berries can also be used to keep it cold.
  • 1 splash Cranberry juice (optional) For added color.
  • 1 spoonful Simple syrup (optional) Add if a sweeter flavor is desired.

Method

Preparation
  1. Chill all ingredients ahead of time to maintain the bubbles.
  2. Mix the juices (orange and pineapple) in a pitcher or large container up to 24 hours in advance.
  3. Slice the citrus fruit and store it covered in the refrigerator.
  4. If making an ice ring, prepare and freeze it in advance.
Serving
  1. Right before guests arrive, pour the juice mixture into the punch bowl.
  2. Add chilled ginger ale and fresh fruit.
  3. Last, gently add the champagne and stir slightly to combine.

Notes

For a non-alcoholic version, substitute champagne with sparkling white grape juice. Use an ice ring to keep the punch cold without diluting it. Adjust sweetness as needed with lemon or additional juice.
