  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Can replace half with whole wheat flour for a denser texture.
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon Can add nutmeg or apple pie spice for more warmth.
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Melted.
  • 1 cup brown sugar Packed.
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
Apple and Caramel Ingredients
  • 2 cups apples, diced Use firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce or bits If using bits, toss in flour to prevent sinking.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar, and whisk until smooth.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, then stir in milk.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in diced apples and caramel sauce.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  2. Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  3. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

Let cool before slicing for cleaner cuts. Store in an airtight container and enjoy up to 2-3 days at room temperature.
