Main Ingredients
  • 6 cups Rice square cereal Use the classic kind.
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips Use semi-sweet or milk chocolate.
  • 1/2 cup Peanut butter Smooth or crunchy, based on preference.
  • 1/4 cup Butter Unsalted butter recommended.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract For enhanced flavor.
  • 2 cups Powdered sugar For coating.
  • 2 cups Butterfinger candy bars Crushed into small bits.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Measure the Rice cereal into a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a microwave safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Heat in short bursts, stirring until smooth.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal and gently fold to coat.
  5. Add in crushed Butterfinger pieces and fold again to mix.
  6. Transfer to a zip top bag or container, add powdered sugar, and shake until coated.
  7. Spread mixture on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to cool.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 4-5 days. If warm, refrigerate but allow to sit out for a few minutes before serving.
