  • 1 cup frozen blueberries Keep a bag in the freezer for quick smoothies.
  • 3/4 cup pomegranate juice (unsweetened if possible) Choose a good tasting pomegranate juice.
  • 1/2 piece banana (fresh or frozen) Helps with creaminess; can be swapped with mango or strawberries.
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (or dairy free yogurt) Adds thickness and protein.
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional) Adds fiber and makes it extra filling.
  • 1-2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (only if needed) Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • Handful of ice Only if you want it extra cold.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Add the pomegranate juice to the blender first.
  2. Next, add the Greek yogurt and banana.
  3. Add the frozen blueberries and chia seeds if using.
  4. Blend until smooth, adding more juice or a little water if too thick, or more frozen blueberries/ice cubes if too thin.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness with honey or more banana if needed.

Notes

If sensitive to sugar, adjust the pomegranate juice to yogurt ratio. Freezer packs with blueberries and banana can help with busy mornings.
