Ingredients

For the blueberry syrup
  • 1 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 to 3 tablespoons sugar or honey, to taste
For the lemonade
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice, about 4 to 6 lemons
  • 2 to 3 cups cold water or sparkling water to dilute
  • Ice Ice For serving
For the cold foam
  • 1 cup cold heavy cream or whipping cream
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons simple syrup or vanilla syrup (optional) For sweetness
  • a tiny pinch salt (optional) To enhance flavor

Method

Preparation
  1. Make the blueberry syrup: Add blueberries, 1 cup water, and sugar to a small pot. Bring to a gentle simmer for about 5 to 7 minutes, stirring and lightly mashing as the berries soften.
  2. Strain if you want it smooth; cool the syrup by pouring it into a bowl and placing it in the fridge for 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Mix the lemonade: Combine lemon juice, blueberry syrup, and cold water in a pitcher. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness as needed.
Foam Preparation
  1. Pour cold cream into a cup and froth until thick and pourable. If using a blender, blend on low until it resembles soft clouds. Add syrup for sweetness if desired.
Assembly
  1. Fill a glass with ice, pour in the blueberry lemonade, and top with cold foam. Sip right away for the best experience.

Notes

The drink is forgiving; adjust sugar based on blueberry sweetness, and lemon based on tartness. Great refreshment for kids when caffeine is skipped.
