Ingredients
  

For the lemonade base
  • 3-4 large large lemons, enough for 3/4 cup fresh lemon juice Juice the lemons and strain to remove seeds.
  • 1/2 cup sugar Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1/2 cup hot water To dissolve the sugar.
  • 3 cups cold water Adjust to taste.
Blue color options
  • 1/2 cup strong butterfly pea tea, cooled For a natural color.
  • 2-4 tablespoons blue curaƧao syrup Non-alcoholic option available.
  • 1-3 drops blue food coloring For an easy tint.
  • as needed Ice To serve chilled.
  • as needed Optional: lemon slices, fresh mint, berries For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Make a quick simple syrup by stirring sugar into hot water until it dissolves.
  2. Juice the lemons and strain the juice into a pitcher.
  3. Add the lemon juice, simple syrup, and cold water to the pitcher. Stir and adjust sweetness and tartness to your liking.
  4. Slowly add your chosen blue coloring option while stirring until the desired color is achieved.
  5. Add ice to glasses, pour the lemonade, and garnish with lemon slices or mint if desired.

Notes

Tasting before adding syrup helps avoid over-sweetening. Chill the lemonade base ahead of time for parties and add ice right before serving to keep it vibrant.
