Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 box brownie mix (around 18 to 20 ounces) Any brand, such as Ghirardelli, Betty Crocker, or Duncan Hines.
  • 2 large eggs Upgrade from 1 egg as per box instructions.
  • 1 cup oil Use a mild oil like canola (follow box instructions for measurement).
  • 1 cup milk Use instead of water as per box instructions.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances the chocolate flavor.
  • 1 pinch salt Useful if the mix is very sweet.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven according to the temperature on the brownie mix box.
  2. Grease an 8x8 pan for thicker brownies, or a 9x13 pan if you prefer thinner ones.
  3. In a bowl, stir the brownie mix with the eggs, oil, milk, vanilla, and salt until just combined. Do not overmix.
Baking
  1. Bake according to the box time but begin checking a few minutes early until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  2. Let the brownies cool for at least 20 to 30 minutes before cutting.

Notes

If you want to enhance your brownies, consider adding chocolate chips, using melted butter, or trying different mix-ins such as toffee bits or raspberry jam. Don't rush the cooling process for better texture.
