Ingredients
  

Dip Layers
  • 1 can Refried beans Canned is totally fine.
  • 1 cup Sour cream mixed with taco seasoning Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • 1 cup Guacamole Homemade or store bought.
  • 1 cup Salsa or pico de gallo Add freshness; drain if watery.
  • 1 cup Shredded cheese Mexican blend or cheddar.
  • 1 cup Chopped tomatoes Or extra pico for brightness.
  • 1/2 cup Sliced black olives For topping.
Optional Toppings
  • 1/4 cup Sliced green onions For garnish.
  • 1/4 cup Chopped cilantro For garnish.
  • 1/4 cup Pickled jalapenos For extra heat.
  • to taste Hot sauce For drizzling.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Spread refried beans evenly across the bottom of a clear dish.
  2. In a small bowl, stir sour cream with taco seasoning. Adjust flavor, then spread over the beans.
  3. Carefully spread guacamole on top, using the back of a spoon.
  4. Spoon salsa over the guacamole, draining if watery.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly on top.
  6. Add chopped tomatoes or pico de gallo, avoiding excess juice.
  7. Finish with sliced black olives and any optional toppings.

Notes

Best served fresh, but can be made ahead by prepping the first two layers and adding fresh toppings later. Store covered in the fridge for 2-3 days.
