Texas Roadhouse’s Rolls with Honey Cinnamon Butter

Texas Roadhouse Rolls imitators are the most amazing! My husband and I both love visiting The Texas Roadhouse. He is there for the steak but they also have cinnamon-scented butterrolls that entice me. I enjoy them! There is nothing better than fresh baked rolls out of the oven. This is my little slice of heaven, even if they’re addicting. Jason Meller shares this Texas Roadhouse Rolls recipe that includes cinnamon butter, so you can take advantage of this tasty dessert at your own home!

It’s possible to do this without the aid of a stand mixer, however using the dough hook will make the process so much simpler! If you don’t own an electric standing mixer, then I suggest using one. I love my Kitchenaid Artisan Green Apple. The dough hook is helpful in making bread.

Pin

2 tablespoons butter softened

1 tablespoon butter that is melted

1/4 cup plus 1 teaspoon sugar

3 1/2-4 1/4 cups of flour

1 tablespoon of salt

1 egg

Ingredients in the cinnamon butter

One stick of butter softened

1 tablespoon of cinnamon

1 teaspoon of honey

2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

The milk can be heated to 180 ° in a pan on the stovetop, or within a microwave safe bowl, or measuring cup.

Take the milk off its heat. Add the butter that has softened. Cool to 120°F.

Dissolve yeast with 1 teaspoon of sugar in boiling water.

Allow it to rest at least 5 minutes.

In a bowl of a stand mixer put the milk, yeast as well as sugar, salt, as well as 1 cup of the flour.

Mix using an electric whisk or paddle.

Mix in the egg and beat until it is homogeneous.

Add 2 cups more flour one at one time by scraping the sides, and mixing following each one.

Use the dough hook to add flour 1 cup at one time at a slow rate until dough begins to form and separates of the edges.

Knead the dough using the dough hook at slow speed till the dough becomes smooth, 3-4 mins.

Clean a large bowl by sprinkling it using cooking spray or oil.

Sprinkle the countertop lightly with flour, then turn the dough around. (Be sure to clean your hands before handling because the dough will become sticky).

Make a ball of dough and put it in a bowl that is greased.

Once, turn the dough over, oiling the dough on both sides. Place it in a warm area for at minimum 1 an hour, or till the dough doubles in size. I baked it into an oven and turned the oven light turned on.

The dough should be turned over and get a clean surface. Sprinkle the rolling pin with flour, then spread it out on a 1/2 inch thick. Utilizing a pastry scraper or pizza knife, slice rectangular dough pieces that measure 2×3 inches.

Make the rectangles by folding the shorter edges under and join them at the center to create an elongated shape over the top.

Set them on a greased cookie sheet, cover and let them sit until the dough is doubled, approximately 15 minutes.

Preheat the oven at 350 degrees F. (Be certain to take out the rolls when they have risen during baking).

Bake at 350 degrees F until golden brown, 11-13 minutes. Remove and apply the butter that has been melted.

Serve hot, topped with cinnamon butter.
