Ingredients

  • 2 cups 2 (200g) crispy rice cereal

  • 1 cup 1 (175g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 (120g) unsalted butter

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 (60ml) light corn syrup

  • 1 teaspoon 1 vanilla extract

  • Pinch salt

Directions

  • Line an 8×8-inch (20x20cm) square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  • In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips, unsalted butter, and light corn syrup.
  • Microwave the mixture in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate and butter are completely melted and smooth.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt, mixing until well combined.
  • Gently fold in the crispy rice cereal until it’s evenly coated with the chocolate mixture.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking pan and use a greased spatula or your hands to press it down firmly and evenly.
  • Place the pan in the refrigerator and let the bars chill for at least 1-2 hours, or until they are firm and set.
  • Once the bars have set, use the parchment paper overhang to lift them out of the pan.
  • Use a sharp knife to cut the chilled mixture into individual No-Bake Homemade Crunch Bars.
  • Serve your crispy, chocolaty bars and enjoy the delightful crunch in every bite!
