Ingredients

  • 4 4 bone-in pork chops

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 2 tablespoons 2 olive oil

  • 4 cloves 4 garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 (100g) brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 (60ml) chicken broth or water

  • 1 tablespoon 1 soy sauce

  • 1/2 teaspoon 1/2 dried thyme (optional)

  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Directions

  • Season both sides of the pork chops generously with salt and black pepper.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the pork chops to the skillet and sear them for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they develop a golden-brown crust and reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Remove the cooked pork chops from the skillet and set them aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant.
  • Stir in the brown sugar, chicken broth or water, soy sauce, and dried thyme (if using). Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  • Return the seared pork chops to the skillet and cook them in the sauce for an additional 3-4 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat the pork chops.
  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
  • Serve your Garlic Brown Sugar Pork Chops hot, drizzling them with the delicious garlic brown sugar sauce. Savor the savory sweetness!
