Bread Ingredients :

1/4 C of canola oil
1/4 C unsalted butter (softened)
1 C sugar
2 large eggs (room temp)
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups of flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 1 tsp salt
1/2 C buttermilk 1/2 C buttermilk
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
1/2 tsp Molasses

Coating Ingredients :

12 Unsalted Butter 1/2 C (melted)
1/4 C sugar
1/4 C brown sugar (packed)
1/2 tsp of cinnamon

  • I make use of 1 1/2 C whole milk, mixed by 1/2 teaspoon white vinegar to make an alternative to buttermilk.

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Mix butter, oil, with sugar and mix until well-mixed.

Add vanilla and eggs to make sure the mix is completely smooth.

Gently begin adding the dry ingredients and the buttermilk*,bstirring until the batter has formed.

Bake at 350°F in 45-50 mins.

Remove the loaf from the oven and allow the loaf to sit for 10 minutes, while still inside the loaf.

Carefully loosen the edges and side of the loaf by removing them from the pan.

With your hands, carefully remove this loaf out of the pan with your hands.

The coating is ready in the pan while it’s cooling.

Pour the butter that is melted in large shallow dish. Add both sugars and cinnamon, stirring until well mixed.

Dip the sides of the loaf in the melting butter until it is the bread is coated.

Spread the butter that has melted over the edges.

Remove the bread of the butter that has been melted and place each piece into the mix of sugar and cinnamon, making sure that each side is coated. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the bread.
