PHILLY STEAK CHEESE FRIES!!!

This packed Philadelphia Cheesesteak fries consist of comprised of crisp waffle fries, sauteed onions and peppers tender steak and melty Provolone cheese!

We all know that I enjoy a great tailgating snack. These Philly cheesesteak fries are the perfect snackfor going out for a tailgate! They’re an extremely simple and quick take on the traditional Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. They’re made with just five ingredients and can be prepared in just 30 minutes!

What’s the most common ingredient the typical ingredient on what is traditionally served on a Philly cheesesteak?
A classic Philly cheesesteak is comprised of thinly cut ribeye steak along with onions and peppers served on a roll with American cheese provolone cheese, provolone cheese along with cheese whip.

CHEESE SAUCE

In a large saucepan, melt butter.

When the bubbling has subsided, sprinkle flour on top and cook for about a minute until the flour is lightly brown.

Gradually add the warm milk into the butter and flour mixture while stirring continuously. Cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the mixture becomes thick.

Remove from the heat and then slowly stir in cubes of cheese until it melts.

Cover and cook at the lowest temperature possible until it is completely incorporated and is stirred frequently. Keep warm.

MEAT, PEPPER & ONION MIXTURE

Heat a large saute skillet on high heat.

Add the meat to the pan and cook, on an extremely high flame until it is no more red.

Remove the pan from the oven and place aside.

Reheat the pan and add more oil (if required) and then add the onions and peppers.

Stir frequently, cooking until peppers become soft and onions have brown.

Return the meat back to the pan and stir into the onion and pepper mixture.

The meat and peppers and onions have caramelized. Remove from the heat.

ASSEMBLING THE FRIES

Place the cooked fries on a plate or on a sheet of baking (see for more details).).

Scoop meat mixture over fries.

Half of the sauce on the meat and fries.

Serve sauce remaining to serve on the side.
