HAMBURGER STEAKS WITH BROWN GRAVY

A forkful of the Brown Gravy Smothered Hamburger Steak

If you follow these easy steps, you’ll have juicy hamburger steaks swimming in savory gravy before you know it! Prior to cooking, gather everything you will need.

For the hamburger patties, gather olive oil, ground beef, seasoning salt, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, pre-diced bell papers, pre-diced onions, bread crumbs, and a large egg.

For the gravy, you will need two packs of your preferred Brown gravy mix and Worcestershire sauce.

*Ingredients:

ยฐ2 chopped onions.
ยฐ2 celery stalks chopped.
ยฐ1 teaspoon of olive oil.
ยฐยผ teaspoon granulated garlic.
ยฐ2 ยฝ cups of chicken broth.
ยฐยผ cup flour.
ยฐ3 tablespoons of lemon juice.
ยฐโ…› teaspoon cayenne pepper.
ยฐ2 tablespoons of tabasco sauce.
ยฐ1 ยฝ lb crab meat in pieces.
ยฐยผ cup chopped green onions.
ยฐยผ cup fresh parsley or 1 ยฝ tablespoon dried parsley.
ยฐ3 c basmati or brown rice.

*Instructions:

Sautรฉ the onions with the celery in olive oil in a large pot for about 10 minutes until softened. Stir in granulated garlic.

In a large bowl, combine the chicken broth and flour until smooth and pour over the onion mixture, stirring to combine and bring to a boil then simmer on low for 30 minutes until thickened.

Stir in lemon juice, cayenne pepper, tabasco sauce and shrimp and cook 5 minutes more.

Stir in crabmeat, green onions and parsley and cook 5 minutes more.

Serve hot over rice and voila!
