I also think these would make a great cream cheese sugar cookie. Roll these in colored sugar for a festive touch! So, what do you think? Do you love cinnamon as much as I do?

Ingredients:

1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
1/2 cup (120g) cream cheese, softened
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 3/4 cups (220g) all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Instructions:

Preheat Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cream Butter and Sugar:

In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the cream cheese and beat until smooth.

Add Wet Ingredients:

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
Combine Dry Ingredients:

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Form Cookies:

Scoop the dough into tablespoon-sized balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Flatten each dough ball slightly with the back of a spoon or your fingers.

Cinnamon Topping:

In a small bowl, mix together the ground cinnamon and a bit of granulated sugar (optional).
Sprinkle the cinnamon mixture generously over the flattened cookies.

Bake:

Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Tips:
Storage: Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
Variation: For an extra festive touch, you can drizzle a simple powdered sugar glaze over the cooled cookies.
