LEMON BUTTER BAKED SHRIMP

advertisement

Shrimps belong in the seafood dietary category, which is often associated with high levels of protein, as well as antioxidants and Omega-3 fatty acids. A diet that is rich in seafood is almost always healthy and delicious.

Lemon brings out the natural taste of shrimps and adds a certain air of freshness. Garlic adds the necessary spice, and butter mellows the dish out, making it creamier and softer. Altogether, the combination is an absolute killer.
If you want to impress your guests or treat your family to a tasty and healthy meal that is not too difficult to make and doesn’t require many ingredients, this lemon butter baked shrimp is your go-to. When the dish comes out of the oven, you’ll have some garlic lemon shrimp sauce too. You can serve the shrimps with rice and pour the sauce over it. Alternatively, serve your shrimps with salad for a fresh meal. Potatoes go well with seafood too!

Overcooked shrimp often has a rubbery texture. If you want to enjoy soft and juicy shrimp, you have to cook it just right. The time suggested in this recipe might not be perfect for all ovens. Keep an eye on your shrimps and take them out of the oven as soon as the flesh turns pink. Any longer than that and it will turn brown, resulting in a chewy texture.

Prawns and shrimps come from the same family. For the sake of the recipe, it doesn’t really matter which you use. Keep in mind that prawns are usually bigger, thus they might need more time in the oven. If you like this recipe, you can experiment with different seafood. Salmon in a lemon butter sauce would taste just as good!
