Chicken Bacon Ranch Stromboli

is still one of the most popular recipes on the entire blog. And for good reason! They’re quick, delicious, filling, fun, and kids just love them! And taking advantage of premade dough makes them SUPER easy!
So it only made sense to take that classic recipe and mix it up again by adding some more of my favorite flavors… chicken, bacon, and ranch!

For this version, I take advantage of that same canned thin crust pizza dough but also add in one of my favorite grocery store staple shortcuts – rotisserie chicken! I combined that with premade ranch dressing, gooey cheese, and I even bought the bagged bacon that’s already cooked and crumbled. It worked perfectly.

1 pound of your favorite pizza dough, either store-bought or homemade
1 cup of cooked, diced or shredded chicken breast
1/2 cup of cooked and chopped bacon
1/2 cup of ranch dressing
1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup of chopped green onions (optional)
Olive oil for brushing
Salt and pepper to taste
All-purpose flour for dusting

Prepare for Baking:

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing it.

Roll Out Dough:

On a lightly floured surface, roll the pizza dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

Add Toppings:

Spread the ranch dressing evenly across the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

Layer the diced chicken and chopped bacon over the ranch dressing.

Evenly sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top. Add the chopped green onions if using.

Roll and Seal:

Carefully roll the dough into a log, starting from one of the long sides, and make sure to enclose the filling completely. Pinch the seams and ends together to seal.

Prepare for Oven:

Place the rolled Stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top with olive oil and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.

Cut a few small slits in the top of the Stromboli to allow steam to escape.


Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese inside is bubbly.


Remove the Stromboli from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into thick pieces.
