This recipe for ground beef and rice casserole is just what you need if you’re in the mood for some warming comfort food.
INGREDIENTS YOU’LL NEED:
Ground beef; I used 500 grams.
Cooked rice; you’ll need 1 cup.
2 small diced onions.
2 small spoons.Of garlic powder.
Canned tomato sauce; I used an 8-oz can.
Chicken broth; you’ll need 1 cup.
A Cup.Of sour cream; at room temp.
2 Cups.Of shredded cheddar cheese.
PREPARATION:
1st Step – Set the temperature in the oven to 350 degrees.
2nd Step – In a pan, sauté the onions for three to four minutes before adding the ground beef and garlic powder. Cook until the color of the meat changes (drain if desired).
3rd Step – Mix in rice that has been previously cooked, tomato sauce, cheese, and chicken stock.
4th Step – Cook over medium heat in the skillet until the mixture begins to bubble, and then coat a casserole dish with nonstick spray.
5th Step – Place the meat mixture in the casserole dish in a square shape. Put in the oven for 15 minutes.
6th Step – Mix the remaining one cup of shredded cheese and the sour cream together in a dish.
7th Step – After removing the dish from the oven, spread the sour cream cheese sauce all over the top of it.
8th Step – Place the casserole back in the oven and continue baking for another 25 to 30 minutes, or until the mixture is bubbling.
